Clinton Stimpson

Software Engineer

Mr. Stimpson has more than 18 years of developing sophisticated computer programs. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2000 from Brigham Young University where he minored in both Physics and Mathematics. Mr. Stimpson joined ETI in 2001 where he makes significant contributions to the development team. Some of his contributions are a new client for the ParaView visualization server. He implemented a widely-used open source library that integrates the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) with the Qt GUI software toolkit. He wrote and refactored data structures and infrastructures in Trelis that resulted in significant performance improvement in several critical areas. He developed VERDE, a pre-analysis mesh verification tool that checks mesh quality. Mr. Stimpson is proficient in multiple languages and toolkits and Linux, Windows, Mac OSX, HPUX, IRIX, Solaris platforms.
